TOWN UNION MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 2013
TOWN UNION MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 2013
The meeting was held on 1st September 2013 at Amankwo Ndiagu
The meeting started with an opening prayer said by Mr. Charles Igboeli at about 2.00pm. The meeting was presided over by The Vice President Mr. Innocent Okechukwu.
The minutes of August 2013 meeting was read by the secretary. After reading the minutes, the following amendment was made:-
1. The V.P noted that the Electoral committee as addressed in the minutes should be proposed electoral committee since they are yet to be inaugurated.
Motion for adoption of the minutes was moved by Mr. Simeon Ebunuoha seconded by Mr. Michael Ozormadu.
Meeting the governor
The issue of meeting the Governor on the Local Government Chairman’s spurious claim on our community road project has not been possible. It was agreed that we contact The President General and see the possibility of his booking appointment for us to meet with the Governor.
Also on the issue of meeting the council of Igwes in Ezeagu based on Barr. Emeka Ozoagu’s false accusation on our President General, Mr. Nwabueze Chijioke, it was ruled that we should forget about going to meet the Igwe ‘s until we get concrete information on how the matter was addressed and the implication of the Chairman’s claim on our P.G
However, the contractors handling the Road project has come back to site. This time around they mounted a project sign post at Afor Oghe signifying the Road project is a Federal Government of Nigeria project.
This has put to rest the confusion caused by Hon. Barr. Emeka Ozoagu’s spurious claim that the road project is being handled by the Ezeagu Local Government Council.
Technical School project
Mr Fesus Ikwueze was not present to give us progress report on the matter.
However, the sum of N2000 was still owed to the Photographer that covered the event the day we went to visit the technical school site. The Man has been disturbing for his money.
Mr. Mike Ozormadu on hearing the complain, gave us N2, 000 for the settlement of the photographer.
Other members who made donation towards the school project were commended. They include:-
Chief Chales Okelue N5000
Chief Innocent Madueke N 5000
Chief Edwin Okechukwu N 2000
Chief Onuora Godwin N 1000
