Town Union election was held on Saturday 7th December 2013. The election was very successful. List of the new Town Union Executives are: 1. Engr. Silas Anonde - President General, 2. AMANKWO OGHE TOWN UNION ELECTION REPORT
Amankwo Oghe Town Union Election was held on Saturday 7th December '2013.
Screening /Accreditation of contestants, by the electoral committee, started at about 9:00am. Nine positions were applied for by nine different candidates. After the screening, all the nine candidates were successful and accredited to contest for the positions applied for. There was no position contested by more than one candidate, so the voting was done for or against each candidate.
At the end of the election, the following people emerged as Winners and Were returned as duly elected.
1. President General Engr. Silas Anonde
2. 1st Vice President Mr. Kesta Ikwueze
3. 2nd Vice President Mr. Uzendu Henry
4. Secretary General Mr. Ikwueze Festus
5. Assistant Secretary General Mr. Eze Francis Junior
6. Financial Secretary Mr. Aliozor Kenneth
7. Treasurer Mr. Charles Igboeli
8. Public Relations Officer Mr. Livinus Emehelu
9. Provost Mr. Ibe Lawson
In attendance were the cabinet chiefs, the youths, town union representatives the out going and new members, a representative from the office of the Rural Development Commissioner Enugu State and many others.
The election was very peaceful, transparent and generally accepted by all the people present.
