GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF JANUARY 1ST 2015

AMANKWO OGHE TOWN UNION GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING HELD ON 1ST JANUARY 2015 The meeting was declared open by the President General at about 12.30pm The meeting started with an opening prayer said by Mr. Kester Ikwueze. The attendance was very poor. It was reported that this was due to Christmas activities and political rallies that took the time of most expected attandees.it was said that the governorship candidate of PDP is holding a political rally in the Local government Also it was reported that H.R.H Igwe C.C. Obueke was also discouraging people from attending the meeting. The PRO in phone call to the president General reported that Igwe sent his armed security men to his house to come and arrest him and bring him down to his palace. However, since The PRO was not at Home as explained to them by the wife they did not arrest anybody. Because of the poor attendance, no matter was treated.
