Sequel to the minutes of July 4th 2010, in which the secretary was to follow up the information from the Oghe Social Development Association’ lawyer to ascertain if the lease agreement was signed by Igwe, the lawyer was contacted on Tuesday 6th July, 2010.
The Lawyer, Barr. Uche Ofordile told me that he meet with Igwe on Saturday, 3rd July 2010 with the documents for his signing. He said that Igwe after much stories requested that he leave the documents with him to enable him study it again with his cabinet members. Efforts made by the lawyer to convince Igwe to sign the documents were not fruitful. The lawyer said it was not possible for him to leave the document with Igwe again, so he left without the Royal father’s signature on the document.
Recall that it was because of this cottage hospital land lease agreement that prompted our joint meeting with Igwe in council on 5th June 2010, after the document was left with him for one week. (Ref: Minutes of 30/05/2010 and 05/06/2010
However, the head of Project committee of the Oghe Social Development Association, Mr. Kenneth Ogwu reliable informed me that the Igwe’s signature will not be an impediment to the Hospital project. He said the foundation laying stone will be launched by December this year.
