Town Union election was held on Saturday 7th December 2013. The election was very successful. List of the new Town Union Executives are: 1. Engr. Silas Anonde - President General, 2. GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING OF 27 DECEMBER 2011
This meeting was held at Amankwo Ndiagu Primary School Hall

The meting started at about 3.00pm with an opening prayer said by Livinus Emehelu.

The president and the councilor were unavoidable absent due to the meeting they were having with the Governor at Enugu, according to the phone contact the Secretary had with the president and the Councilor.

Constitution
The Vice President, Mr. Innocent Okechukwu, explained how far we have gone on the constitution and handed over to the constitution committee secretary, Engr. Silas Anonde, who explained further on the issue of the constitution and apologized to Abuja branch for not concluding the constitution as scheduled, The representatives from Abuja, Mr. Simeon Aguedu accepted the apology on behalf of their members and said we should carry on.
The secretary equally demanded for contributions/reviews from other branches and wards. No submissions were made.

Neighbourhood watch
The issue of maintenance of the Neighbourhood watch was thrown open to the general assembly. Much time was given, so as to ascertain the people’s mind on how to be raising fund to pay the Neighbourhood, the management of the fund so generated, the number of people to be in the outfit, the character of the people and so on.

Ruling,
It was agreed
1. That every man (women excluded) within the financial age (Ogba na atu utu) in Amankwo should be contributing Fifty Naira (N50.00) per person per month, starting from January 2011 for payment of allowance to the security outfit.

2. that the town union should form a commute to manage the fund

3. That ward representative should bring the list of the said financial age members from their wards to ascertain the number of people and the expected revenue accruable from the levy.

4. The neighbourhood watch should equally forward names of their members to the Town union. The town union should screen the members of the neighbourhood. Those interested in joining the existing members of the neighbourhood should apply to the Town Union.

5. The above rules apply to both Amankwo Imezi and Amankwo Ndiagu Neighbourhood watch.

Cottage Hospital Project
The V.P told the house that ground breaking ceremony for the cottage hospital will be take place the next day being 28 December 2010, he encouraged every body to be there. Mr. Eva Ogwu supported him and shared invitation cards he collected from Abuja people.

Launching of the town union Website
The secretary, who is the publisher of the Town Union website, gave a brief lecture on how to use the website. Highlight of his lecture include how to access the website from any system connected to the internet, how to publish your comment on the site, how to read past issues published on the site and how to use the search box to quickly get any information you want from the site. The presenter, Engr Anonde, came with a laptop, which he used to demonstrate practically, all he was teaching.
At the end of his lecture, the house was over joyous and he was applauded for the job well done.

He entertained few questions from the audience before the vice President called for the launching of the website. The V.P said that the money realized from the launching will be used to equip the town union secretariat. Among the things required are; a laptop, an internet modem, affordable internet account, printer, digital camera, projector, writing materials etc. he said the town union will need about Three Hundred Thousand (N300,000) to acquired the most important among the above items.

Mr. Simeon Aguedu from Abuja said it is unfortunate that the people present here will not have much to do, he promised that he will extend our appeal to his members in Abuja.

A total of N5, 950 was realized. The VP thanked people for their contributions and said the launching will continue, he added that the town union will write an appeal letter to our illustrious sons and branches to assist us.

The amount realized was given to the P.R.O, Mr. Livinus Emehelu to make up with the donation of N2,000 from Engr. Ejike Anigbo, to offset the expenses of Public Address System and Town crier which was hired that day for the meeting.

Christian Obueze moved motion for adjournment second by Onyemaobi.
Closing prayer was said by Mr. Innocent Okechukwu.
