TOWN UNION MEETING OF AUGUST 4TH 2013

TOWN UNION MEETING OF AUGUST 4TH 2013 The meeting started at about 2:10pm with an opening prayer said by the vice president Mr. Innocent Okechukwu. The meeting was presided over by the Vice President. The secretary read the past minutes. Motion for adoption was moved by Mr. Charly Igboeli seconded by Mr. Kenneth Aliozor REPORT ON THE LETTER SENT TO BARR. EMEKA OZOAGU, THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN The secretary Engr. Silas Anonde gave a report. In his report he said that after a month of submitting the letter to the Chairman, another letter was written to the Governor to inform him of Barr. Emeka Ozoagu‘s spurious claims on our road construction project. He said that the letter has been submitted to the Governor and the commissioner for local governments. He equally mentioned that a copy will be sent to the Deputy Senate president, who attracted the project for us. It was said that the Local Government Chairman in reaction to the letters called a meeting of the igwes in Ezeagu and some of his followers and addressed them, telling them that our President General Mr. Nwabueze Chijioke is enemy of progress that he wrote petition against him to the governor. Members aired their opinion on the matter. It was ruled that the town union should write to igwes to counter the claim of the local government chairman and attach copies of the letters so that they will not know the truth. Also the secretary should draft another cover letter and attach to copies of the letters to be sent to Dr Ike Eweremadu. RURAL ELECTRIFICATION The secretary equally told the community that the rural electrification project is in progress. He said that a bill of quantity for Amankwo Ndiagu Rural Electrification has been approved in June 2013. He said this was made possible through the effort of the Town Union Presidend, Mr. Nwabueze Chijioke and our leader Hon. Obrien Ofordu. ESUBEB SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT Mr. Fastus Ikwueze who is helping us to attract the project said the supervisor Engr. Nzekwe is requesting for the balance of their transport money to enable him process our request to come rebuild our dilapidated School building. Members were urged to make donations and contact philanthropist in our community to help raise money to settle the supervisor ELECTORAL COMMITTEE Only one of the members of the electoral committee, Mr. Michael Ozommadu was present, so the inauguration of the committee was postponed till next meeting. Motion for adjournment moves by Emelelu Livinus seconded by Charly Igboeli, closing prayer by Mr. Michael Ozomadu.
