Town Union election was held on Saturday 7th December 2013. The election was very successful. List of the new Town Union Executives are: 1. Engr. Silas Anonde - President General, 2. Mr. Aliozor Kenneth - Financial Secretary, 7. Mr. Charles Igboeli - Treasurer, 8. Mr. Livinus Emehelu - PRO, 9. Mr. Ibe Lawson - Provost 10. Barr. Peter Ozoagu - Legal Adviser

Town union meeting of June 2nd 2013

Town union meeting of June 2nd 2013 The meeting with an opening prayer said by Festus Ikwueze at about 1.39pm. The secretary read the past minutes. Motion for adoption was moved by Mr. Charles Igboeli seconded by Emehelu Livinus. The meeting was presided over by the President General, Mr. Nwabueze Chijioke Opening Remark by the President General Mr. President thanked the people present for their steady fast. He explained the effort the town union made to lift the community and said the town union never did anything for personal interest but for the interest of the community. The President General said the people in charge of the road construction will be mobilized soon and that they will come back to sight. He equally said that it is unfortunate that the Local Government is claiming to be responsible for the road construction and that the chairman’s political allies are spreading false rumors that the work on the road stopped because Nwabueze Chijioke, the President General, is claiming responsible for the road that the Local Government is doing. In another development, he informed us that the rural electrification people have come to measure the road and they will soon start to electricity the community. The secretary Engr. Silas Anonde reacted over the Local Government chairman’s claim that he is responsible for the road construction. He said the Town Union need to react to the issue. It was concluded that the town union will write to Barr. Emeka Ozoagu the chairman of the Council and inform him that we are not aware that the Local Government is constructing any road for the community. Electoral committee Following the meeting we had with the commissioner for rural Development in which the commissioner said the order by the commissioner for chieftaincy to wait until we finish the review of the constitution before we hold an election is wrong, the Town Union started from where it stopped by appointing the electoral committee today. Members of the committee are: - 1) 1. Chief Charles Okelue 2) Mr. Peter Okafor 3) Christian Nzekwe 4) Mr. Michael Ozor 5) Sir Face Okechukwu 6) Mr. Ikechukwu Uzendu 7) Mr. Peter Madu 8) Chief Christopher Madu 9) Mr. Lawrence Offor The secretary is to communicate the members. Motion for adjournment was moved by Kenneth seconded by Eva Ogwu closing prayer was said by Peter Madu. The meeting was adjourned at about 3.45pm
